Northport Veterans Hospital Volunteer Service Representative Jennifer Pohl, with Gene Scanlon, Kathleen Miller and Northport Veterans Hospital Chief of Volunteer Services Richard Kitson at the hospital on March 5. Leading Knight, Ms. Miller and Lodge Secretary, Mr. Scanlon brought to the Northport Veterans Hospital six robotic dogs, three robotic cats, extra batteries and assorted magazines collected by the Southampton Elks Lodge #1574. These robotic animals will be used by veterans suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's Disease.
Members of the American Legion Post Post #834 in Westhampton Beach, and their children, brought bird seed and bird houses to Westhampton Care facility on February 27 and installed them for patients there who love feeding the birds.
