Brian Doyle will run unopposed for a seat on the Tuckahoe School Board on March 25. The newcomer’s term will expire on June 30, though the seat will be up for another vote on May 20 for the full three-year term from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028. Doyle will fill the seat that was held by Timothy Gilmartin, who died on January 15, at age 51 — leaving behind his wife, Kathleen, and their two daughters, Marin and Reagan. — Michelle Trauring

As many in the community are aware, on Friday, March 7, Westhampton Beach Middle School and High School were evacuated following bomb threat phone calls to each school [“Westhampton Schools Bomb Threats Came From Germany, at Behest of Local Student,” 27east.com, March 7].
