Martin Calieca-Cruz, 33, of Southampton was arrested by Quogue Village Police on November 15 and charged with misdemeanor DWI. Cruz was pulled over at 8:01 p.m. on Quogue Plaza Trail after being observed failing to stop at a stop sign, failing to maintain his lane, and driving 46 mph in a 25-mph zone on Old Country Road, police said, adding that an investigation revealed he was intoxicated. Budgeting is the most important task town officials have, and the brand new $134 million budget for 2025 will face a great deal of scrutiny.
