Southampton Board of Education Starts 2025-26 School Budget Talks, Looks at Proposed $82 Million Spending Plan

In its first pass at the 2025-26 budget, officials at the Southampton Union Free School District suggested growing the tax levy by 3.02 percent, or nearly $1.9 million — which would still be within the state cap on tax levy increases due to certain exemptions, according to Jean Mingot, assistant superintendent for business.
