Seal Viewing Hikes Planned in Montauk

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is offering a series of hikes to observe wintering seals at Montauk Point State Park. Beginning this month and continuing through April 2025, a State Park naturalist will lead visitors on a scenic beach walk to an area where up to five species of seals may be observed. Along the hike, there will be opportunities to see many winter birds and to explore marine geology. Binoculars are helpful.
