Anthony Sbarro, son of the folks who founded the Sbarro chain of pizza shops, has just collected a lot of dough for selling his Southampton home. The estate at 101 Pheasant Lane was most recently asking $24 million.

Not a bad profit for the pizza prince, considering Mr. Sbarro bought the property just three years ago for $10,260,000. Supposedly, his original intention was to live in the house and he hired architect Francis Fleetwood to do renovations. However, Mr. Sbarro found another property nearby more mouth-watering, and after buying that he put the Pheasant Lane manse on the market.

What does the new, so far undisclosed, owner get for his or her eight-figure purchase? Sited in Southampton’s private ocean-access Murray Compound on almost 2 acres, the Hamptons traditional residence comprises more than 15,000 square feet of total living space with interiors conceived of, built, and installed by the renowned Italian Achille Salvagni Atelier. (Mr. Sbarro’s parents emigrated from Italy in the 1950s.) An infinity-surface, 60-by-30-foot heated gunite pool, pool house, sunken all-weather tennis court, and numerous patios and covered decks occupy the landscaped grounds. Vaulted entry gallery, living room and den/library with fireplaces, formal dining room with fireplace, enormous dine-in professional chef’s kitchen, junior master bedroom suite occupy the ground level, together with glass enclosed breezeway to the guest apartment with two-bedroom suites, garage, and side entrances. The second-floor master suite apartment features a private deck, two full bathrooms, and custom walk-in closets. Three more guest suites also occupy this level. The finished lower level includes a gym, sauna and steam rooms, recreation game room with built-in bar, theater, wine cellar, dance studio, laundry facility, and two guest bedroom suites. An elevator serves all three floors.

Other amenities include one-of-a-kind marble in bathrooms, flat screen televisions concealed by “roll-away” artwork, heavy doors and cabinetry, exquisite tailor-made wallpaper and wall décor, and custom-built closets and cabinetry throughout.

Hold the anchovies.
