East Hampton Village Police arrested a 24-year-old Springs man, Kevin Ricardo Montalvo, on two charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree on Friday night, February 21, after a traffic stop on Montauk Highway. Montalvo could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted on each of the charges. According to Detective Sergeant Jennifer Dunn, Montalvo was driving a 2016 Chevrolet work van when he was found to be in possession of 53.12 grams — slightly under 2 ounces — of cocaine laced with fentanyl.
