Of the four candidates running for Southampton Village trustee in next Friday’s election, there is one I have come to know well during the period of public hearings for a ban on gas-powered leaf blowers, and that is Joe McLoughlin.
We may not have agreed on every aspect of this issue, but I came to know — and deeply admire — his work ethic and his integrity.
I will be voting for Joe McLoughlin for village trustee on June 17.
