The Rites of Spring Music Festival celebrates the holiday season on the North Fork with a piano music recital on Friday, December 8, at 6 p.m. presenting two classical composers, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven. The concert at Castello di Borghese Vineyard begins with a wine and cheese reception at 5:30 p.m.

Performed by Rites of Spring Music Festival founder, pianist Paolo Bartolani, the solo piano concert will feature Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Fantasia in C minor, K. 475 and Piano Sonata No.14 in C minor, K.457, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 15 in D major, Op. 28.

After the concert, celebrate the holiday season, share a glass of wine with the musician and enjoy moments of cheerfulness together.

Tickets are $60 ($30 for friends of Rites of Spring Music Festival and members of Castello di Borghese Vineyard), free for ages 25 and under. Castello di Borghese Vineyard is at 17150 Route 48 in Mattituck,

Paolo Bartolani is a pianist, musicologist and music manager, working in both classical and contemporary music. He graduated in 1989 from the Santa Cecilia Music Conservatory in Rome. Bartolani founded the Rites of Spring Music Festival in 2016 to promote classical and contemporary music on the North Fork and to combine music, history and the natural environment. A nonprofit organization, he is the artistic director and responsible for developing the festival’s programming.
