On Sunday, December 10, at 2:30 p.m. Patricia and Nicole DeRosa Padden will present the DeRosa Family’s Holiday Concert at Montauk Library. The concert will include yuletide favorites such as “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Let It Snow,” “Deck the Halls,” “Jingle Bells,” “The Dreidel Song,” “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” and lots of other seasonal favorites. All are welcome.

Singer-songwriter Patricia DeRosa Padden is an accomplished pianist and vocalist who has performed regularly at venues in New York and Florida, including the Waldorf Astoria and the Boca Raton Hotel. She studied voice in New York City at the Fred Steele Studios. She earned has a bachelor of fine arts degree and a masters in music education and taught in the East Islip School District for 25 years. Currently she is the music director for the DeRosa family music ensemble.

Nicole DeRosa Padden, Patricia DeRosa Padden’s daughter, is a vocalist, flutist and pianist who earned a bachelor’s degree from C.W. Post, Long Island University and a masters in music education from the State University at Buffalo. As a singer-songwriter, she performs at venues in Long Island and the metro New York area.

Nicole and Patricia DeRosa Padden are Montauk residents. They carry on the tradition of musical excellence that began with Patricia’s father, the late Pat DeRosa (1921 – 2023) the celebrated saxophonist who holds the Guinness Book of World Record as the world’s oldest professional saxophonist as well as many other honors. During his 101 years of life, Pat brought happiness to everyone who knew him or heard him perform. It is the DeRosa family’s mission to “keep the music playing” as Pat always would say, and to celebrate his legacy through performances, music scholarships and other ways to honor musical talent.
