Habitat for Humanity of Long Island is inviting Long Islanders to raise a glass — several, actually — to affordable housing by purchasing the Craft Brew & Spirits Tour 2024 card to support The House Beer Built.

For $30, the card offers a complimentary beer or drink at each of 28 participating bars, distilleries and breweries. The proceeds will be used toward the construction of a new home, which will be sold with an affordable mortgage to an income-qualified family.

The first House Beer Built broke ground in the fall last year in Riverside. Sales of the cards raised $22,000 toward the cost of construction. There were just 20 participating locations then and the cards cost $50 each. So not only are the 2024 cards $20 cheaper, they can be used at eight more places. The cards are valid through December 31.

On the East End, participating breweries and distilleries include Greenport Harbor Brewing Co., Jamesport Farm Brewery, Twin Fork Beer Co., Ubergeek Brewing and Westhampton Beach Brewing Company.

For more information, contact Caroljean D’Aquila at outreach@habitatLINY.org or call 631-422-4828 ext. 108. Purchase the card at https://habitatsuffolk.app.neoncrm.com/np/clients/habitatsuffolk/event.jsp?event=120&.
