A 5,600-square-foot shingle-style home in Southampton Village built in 1989 recently sold for $4.15 million.

The preexisting, nonconforming home is 1,600 square feet larger than could be built today on the half-acre property, according to the Corcoran listing.

At 126 Coopers Farm Road, the house with a large front porch includes on the first floor a formal foyer, a formal dining room, a living room with fireplace, a family room with fireplace,an eat-in kitchen with breakfast nook, two pantries, a powder room, a sun room a den/office with bathroom. The listing notes that the den/office has the potential to become an en suite bedroom.

Continuing upstairs, find the five bedrooms, including a primary suite with fireplace and a private terrace. The primary bath has his and her sinks and a jacuzzi.

A formal staircase leads to the upper level with tall ceilings and 1,200 square feet of flexible space.

A two-car garage is attached, and the home has a full lower level. Outdoors amenities and features include a pool and mature landscaping

Geoff Hull and Tim Hull of Corcoran had the listing.

“Built by a multi-generational local family, this home was designed to raise his family in the village on a convenient street with a great location,” Geoff Hull said. “This recently sold to another family looking to do the same. It was really a lovely sale!”

The last asking price was $4.4 million.

The deal closed on January 5, according to Suffolk Vision Inc., which reported the sellers were Martin and Pamela Gilmartin and the new owners are James Wilson and Richard Aina.
