2012 Teeny Award Winners

The 10th annual Teeny Awards were held on Sunday, June 10, at Eastport-South Manor High School. Presented by East End Arts, the annual awards event recognized the shining stars of the East End’s high school stages.

The 2012 Teeny Awards winners included:

Lead Actor in a Drama:

Nick Motlenski, from McGann-Mercy for his role in “The Glass Menagerie.”

Lead Actress in a Drama:

Kathryn Ryan from East Hampton for her role in “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

Supporting Actor in a Drama:

Yori Johnson from East Hampton for his role in “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

Supporting Actress in a Drama:

Allison Charde from East Hampton for her role in “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

Lead Actor in a Comedy:

Nick Motlenski from McGann-Mercy for his role in “Arsenic and Old Lace.”

Lead Actress in a Comedy:

Nicole Chiuchiolo from McGann-Mercy for her role in “Arsenic and Old Lace.”

Supporting Actor in a Comedy:

Beau Riva from Pierson for his role in “Pygmalion.”

Supporting Actress in a Comedy:

Kristen Suarez from Shoreham-Wading River for her role in “Brighton Beach Memoirs.”

Lead Actor in a Musical:

Sam Kortchmar from Southold for his role in “Curtains.”

Lead Actress in a Musical:

tie between Emily Hinz from Pierson for her role in “Anything Goes” and Veronica Reitz from Mattituck for her role in “Leader of the Pack.”

Supporting Actor in a Musical:

Francesco Logozzo from Westhampton Beach for his role in “A Chorus Line.”

Supporting Actress in a Musical:

Catherine Fioriello from East Hampton for her role in “Anything Goes.”

Jonathan Troiano of Riverhead was awarded the Outstanding Performance award for his role in “West Side Story.”

The cast and crew of Mattituck’s “Check, Please” received the Judges’ Choice Award.

Marisa Fedele, Gayle Gammon and Winter Wilcenski of Southold received the choreography award for “Curtains.”

The cast of “A Chorus Line” in Westhampton Beach earned the Outstanding Ensemble award.

Stage manager recognition was given to Scott McVetty, Jessica Oswalt and Carolyn Turkington from Center Moriches for “All Shook Up;” Nicole Miksinski and Ouutong Phooprasert from East Hampton for “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Anything Goes;” Paige Moeller and Jessica Sauerwald from Eastport-South Manor for “West Side Story;” Sean Walden from Greenport for “Archy and Mehitabel;” Amy Stangasser and Babette Paul from Hampton Bays for “Bye Bye Birdie.”

Stage manager recognition was also given to Kaylee Bergen and Kimberly Olsen from Mattituck for “Leader of the Pack;” Maria Peroni and Julia Gaines from Mattituck for “One Acts: The Rehearsal” and “Check, Please!;” Stephanie Strippoli from McGann-Mercy for “Arsenic and Old Lace,” “The Glass Menagerie” and “Jekyll & Hyde;” Emily Verneuille from Pierson for “Pygmalion;” Emma Brannen, Shelly Matthers and Nick Dwoskin from Pierson for “Anything Goes;” Abigail Beodeker from Riverhead for “Working” and “West Side Story;” Victoria Batista from Ross for “One Acts;” Mariah Brengel from Shoreham-Wading River for “Beauty and the Beast” and “Brighton Beach Memoirs;” Skylar Borucke from Southampton for “West Side Story;” Jaclyn Conway from Southold for “Curtains” and Jenna Arcuri from Westhampton Beach for “Fools.”

Beau Riva from Pierson won the Set Design award for “Anything Goes.”

Emily Gandalfo from Westhampton Beach won the Playbill/Poster award for “Fools.”

McGann-Mercy High School was recognized for its Innovations in Theatre Education.
