“Apres Surf” is an exhibition of art and design utilizing the post-consumer materials of surfing. Curated by artist Scott Bluedorn, the show is hosted by Stick + Stone and is on view at Grain Surfboards, 249 Main Street, Amagansett.

“Apres Surf” features work by artists who give an “afterlife” to the materials of surfing. Often composed of toxic and long-lasting chemicals and polymers, the substances traditionally used in surfboards, wetsuits and various accessories can find new use through creative outputs and be saved from the landfill. The artists involved are all surfers or intimately familiar with the matter of surfing and share an environmental awareness in their work.

Participating artists are Peter Spacek, Dalton Portella, Scott Bluedorn, Annie Sessler and Scott Szegeski. The show opens with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, August 28. Masks are required. Reserve at aynsley@grainsurfboards.com. The show remains on view through September 13.
