Books and Film go hand-in-hand for fun diversions. With the Hamptons International Film Festival running October 7 to 16, Bedside Reading, which places a wide variety of complimentary books by the bedsides of inns and hotels on the East End, is celebrating books and film with a great lineup of reads, both physical and digital.

Through October 16, Bedside Reading books include a collection of supernatural stories (in advance of Halloween), self-help, fiction, thrillers, mysteries, memoirs and historical fiction books.

“Our books are carefully curated for the Hamptons visitor,” said Jane Ubell-Meyer, founder of Bedside Reading.

Each hotel will provide a Bedside Reading bookmark with a special QR code providing access to a variety of eBooks and audiobooks that can be downloaded, which change quarterly.

Titles included in Hamptons Film Festival Weekend tote bags include: “I Wish I’d Known” by Sarah Vie; “The Maze” by Nelson DeMille; “The Eagle and the Dragon” by Chris Duffin; “Love, Life, and Lucille: Lessons Learned from a Centenarian” by Judy Gaman; “The Magic of Missing You” by Didi Cooper; “Match: A Medical Mystery” by Amy Peele; “Lady Be Good” by Pamela Hamilton; “Butter-Side Up: How I Survived My Most Terrible Year and Created My Super Awesome Life” by Jane Enright; and “Ghost House” by Sara Connell.

Bedside Reading’s eBooks, audiobooks and physical books are always complimentary and can be found at the following hotels and inns — Mill House Inn, The Maidstone, Southampton Inn, 1708 House, Journey East Hampton and MARRAM, Montauk. For more information visit bedsidereading.com.
