Catch the final weekend of “Parrish Perspectives: Recent Acquisitions in Context,” featuring 48 paintings, sculpture and works on paper from the Permanent Collection, including work by Sag Harbor-based artist Blair Seagram.
Born in 1951, Seagram contemplates climate change in a personal way, traveling to many imperiled regions around the world. Building on the panoramic images for which she is best known, a new series called “Strata” shifts to a composite image that merges four layers horizontally.
From the top, California’s misty Channel Islands meets Truro Beach near Provincetown, Cape Cod, followed by the frozen waters of Thunder Beach, Ontario, with a spit of land visible on the right. And in the bottommost image, birds take flight over the calm waters of Nazare, Portugal.
