Cast And Crew Of 'A Raisin In The Sun' Announced

Bay Street Theater’s “Literature Live!” production of Lorraine Hansberry’s play “A Raisin in the Sun” is now in rehearsal in Sag Harbor. Cast members are: Chauncy Thomas as Walter Lee Younger; Cooki Winborn as Lena Younger; Erin Margaret Pettigrew as Ruth Younger; Cassia Thompson as Beneatha Younger; Jonathan Farrington as Joseph Asagai; Michael Chenevert as George Murchison; Justin Jorrell as Bobo; Joe Pallister as Karl Lindner, and Kaden Amari Anderson as Travis Younger.

The design and creative team include Lydia Fort (director); Mike Billings (set and lighting designer); Meghan O’Beirne (costume designer); Brian Staton (sound designer); Meg Murphy (hair and makeup designer); Courtney Alberto (props designer); Rosalind Sullivan-Lovett (dramaturg); Christine Lemme (production stage manager); and Arthur Atkinson (assistant stage manager).

“A Raisin in the Sun” runs November 11 to 30 at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor with shows both for school groups and public audiences. In 2019, this classic work from the American Theater is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its first production on Broadway.
