This will be a weekend for both comedy and music at Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center.
On Friday, July 29, Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center welcomes comedian Dave Attell, a stand-up comedian, actor and writer best known as the host of Comedy Central’s “Insomniac With Dave Attell,” which gave him a cult following.
Attell is often referred to as a “comedian’s comedian,” an unfaltering figure on the comedy circuit since 1988. The stand-up comic has been a mainstay in mainstream stand-up comedy since the 1990s and has experienced success as a live performer and television personality. His credits include stints on “Saturday Night Live,” “Bumping Mics” and recently, Hulu’s “Life and Beth” with Amy Schumer and Michael Cera. His film credits include Chris Rock’s cult film, “Pootie Tang,” and Amy Schumer films “Trainwreck and “I Feel Pretty.” When not on the road, Attell makes regular appearances at the Comedy Cellar in New York City.
On Saturday, July 30, California cool cruises into Westhampton Beach when rocker Chris Isaak takes the stage. With his hits “Wicked Game,” “Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing” and “Graduation Day,” Isaak has cemented himself as an artist whose range spans music, television, and film. Recently, Isaak is also featured on the soundtrack to “Elvis,” Baz Luhrmann’s ode to the hip-shaking rocker, in a duet with veteran songstress Steve Nicks on the tune “Cotton Candy Land.”
Over the course of his three-decade plus career, Platinum-selling and Grammy-nominated Isaak has performed to sold-out crowds across the globe with his longtime band Silvertone. His music and film credits include nine critically acclaimed studio albums, 12 chart-topping singles along with several motion pictures, such as “The Silence of the Lambs” and “That Thing You Do!” His work has also taken him behind the scenes, creating music for multiple film soundtracks, including “Eyes Wide Shut,” “True Romance,” “Wild at Heart” and “Blue Velvet.” Isaak has starred in his own critically acclaimed television series “The Chris Isaak Show” on Showtime. He is currently recording a new studio album in Nashville.
Tickets for Dave Attell on Friday, July 29, at 8 p.m. are $106 to $126. Tickets for Chris Isaak and Silvertone band on Saturday, July 30, at 8 p.m. are $161 to $201.
