Artists Jim Gingerich, Bob Sullivan and John Haubrich will be featured in a unique outdoor exhibition, “Gallery in the Garden,” at Estia’s Little Kitchen in Sag Harbor. This event, scheduled for Sunday, August 18, from 4 to 6 p.m., promises an enriching blend of art, tacos, and mezcal, set against the charming backdrop of the garden at Estia’s Little Kitchen.

Jim Gingerich brings a dynamic and expressive style to his work, capturing the vibrancy of life through his paintings. With a deep connection to his subjects, Gingerich’s art resonates with a powerful emotional intensity. His extensive career has been marked by numerous exhibitions and critical acclaim, establishing him as a significant figure in contemporary art. His art is exhibited in many notable museums across the country. Gingerich is known for his figurative and his plein air landscapes, commemorating the many landmarks in the East End.

Bob Sullivan holds a bachelor’s degree in fine art from Ithaca College and majored in visual communication at Pratt Institute’s graduate design program. His early career saw him working as an art director for Children’s Television Workshop and Foote Cone and Belding. Since moving to East Hampton in 1999, Sullivan has focused on capturing the land and seascapes of the East End. His painting style, known as natural realism, has been honed through extensive plein air workshops and travels across the American West, Italy, Ireland, Maine, Hawaii and Argentina.

John Haubrich discovered his passion for art at the tender age of three when he first picked up a pencil. Growing up in rural Minnesota, he developed a profound connection with the expansive skies and landscapes of his home region. His early experiences with the natural world and the abandoned farms filled with rusted cars and equipment deeply influenced his artistic vision. Haubrich’s work in painting and digital imagery reflects his emotional and physical responses to the world around him. Through abstraction, he creates landscapes that articulate his internal and external experiences, bringing a unique perspective to the exhibition.

“Gallery in the Garden” takes place at Estia’s Little Kitchen, 1615 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike in Sag Harbor. For more information, visit estias.com.
