Long Island comedian Paul Anthony has announced the launch of Hamptons Comedy Festival, which will debut at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor on April 15, at 8 p.m., and will feature some of the comedy world’s top talents.
“We are very excited to be producing the Hamptons Comedy Festival this year,” said Anthony. “It’s been in the works for a while and the timing is right.”
“The bottom line is people really need to laugh more, and our goal is to bring them top quality comedy showcases through the festival,” added Anthony, who has produced the Long Island Comedy Festival for the past 16 summers.
The inaugural Hamptons Comedy Festival will feature performances by Bryan McKenna, a finalist in the Caroline’s on Broadway March Madness Competition and finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival, who has been touring nationally as an opening act for Jim Breuer; Rich Walker, a Long Island comedy scene veteran; Kendra Cunningham, named a comic to watch by Time Out New York; and comedian and actor Chris Roach, best known for his reoccurring role of Mott on the CBS sitcom “Kevin Can Wait.”
The Hamptons Comedy Festival will continue next fall, with shows scheduled for September 23 and October 21.
