On Halloween eve, Wednesday, October 30, at 5 p.m., the Sag Harbor Historical Society’s Annie Cooper Boyd House at 174 Main Street in Sag Harbor will present “Annie's Field of Jack-O'-Lanterns” for the spooky season. Community members are invited to bring carved Jack-o'-lanterns, lit with battery-operated candles or tea lights, to the house. Participants will gather on the lawn and then the front porch for group photos and then, with Jack-o'-lanterns alight, will parade slowly and quietly through the house so as not to disturb any ghostly occupants.

Light refreshments will be served and Nancy Remkus will be on hand playing Halloween songs and, if the weather cooperates and the spirit arises, some dances on the front lawn.

A $5 donation per family is requested. All donations help support the important work of the historical society in preserving the history of the village.

Preservation as a Creative Act
