At 83, there isn’t much Jules Feiffer hasn’t accomplished.
The East Ender—and Stony Brook Southampton adjunct—is a syndicated cartoonist, playwright, screenwriter and author of more than 35 books. In 1986, he won the Pulitzer Prize for his editorial cartooning in The Village Voice.
And on Wednesday, October 31, he’ll dish about it all during a free noontime lecture at the Rogers Memorial Library in Southampton.
The illustrator’s strips and cartoons have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker, Esquire, Playboy and The Nation. His book credits include “A Room with a Zoo,” “The Daddy Mountain,” “Harry the Rat with Women” and “Ackroyd.” His book illustration work includes “The Phantom Tollbooth” by Norton Juster.
Mr. Feiffer’s autobiography, “Backing into Forward: A Memoir,” was just released in paperback, and he is currently working on a graphic noir novel, which he plans to discuss at the library.
