Sag Harbor Police Chief Austin J. McGuire will be the featured Knowledge Friday speaker for the month of April at The Church. Known locally as “A.J.,” McGuire will speak on Friday, April 7, at 6 p.m. He has lived in Sag Harbor for 23 years and has held the position of police chief since 2016. Prior to working in Sag Harbor, he held four different positions, over the course of 18 years, at the East Hampton Town Police Department.

McGuire lives in Sag Harbor with his two daughters, Lillian, a Pierson graduate and a freshman at Indiana University, and Caroline, a Pierson junior. He will be joined by The Church’s Co-Founder, April Gornik, who will interview him on his career in law enforcement and ties to the village.

Tickets for Knowledge Friday are $10 (free for members) at thechurchsagharbor.org.The Church is at 48 Madison Street, Sag Harbor.
