A solo show by artist Helen Giaquinto titled “Less Is More: Simplicity in Line, Shape and Color” will be on view at the Water Mill Museum from Thursday, September 19, to Sunday, September 29. The show opens with a public welcoming party and meet-the-artist reception on Saturday, September 21, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Now in her ninth decade and a resident of Hampton Bays, Giaquinto’s resume includes decades of stellar accomplishments from her career in advertising design on Madison Avenue, illustration for national publications and fine art created for exhibitions.

Giaquinto is a longtime active member of the Southampton Artists Association and frequently offers up “best in show” level watercolors and paintings.

“I’m an artist. Helen has lifted up so many of us artists with her sheer simple excellence,” said Ann Lombardo in a release, “It’s a rare chance to see really fine art right here in Water Mill. I hope many will turn out and be inspired by Helen’s show.”

The Water Mill Museum is at 41 Old Mill Road in Water Mill. Admission is free and open to all. For more information, visit watermillmuseum.org or call 631-726-4625.
