After a year of innovative virtual projects, films and concerts, Music for Montauk (M4M) celebrates the return of live performances with a pair of concerts at the Montauk Lighthouse and Fort Pond House. The performances are timed to end just before sunset so the combination of location, light and music creates a complete experience.

Pedro Giraudo & Friends kick off a weekend of music on Friday, August 27. Grammy-winning bassist Pedro Giraudo, brings an illustrious group of musicians to the iconic Montauk Lighthouse for an upbeat evening of Cuban- and Latin-inspired music. With Jainardo Batista, voice and percussion, Cesar Orozco on piano, trombonist Ryan Keberle, and Giraudo leading the band.

The concert begins at 6 p.m. and guests are invited to bring their own picnic. The show is family friendly and tickets are $25 at musicformontauk.org.

The music continues on Saturday, August 28, at Fort Pond House with “Summer Serenade” and some of M4M’s favorite musicians, including harpist Kristi Shade, violist-composer Jessica Meyer, cellist Caleb van der Swaagh and pianist Miloš Repický in a concert of chamber music and songs to suit the enchanted setting and bring the community back together. The concert begins at 6 p.m. and features works by Villa-Lobos, Ravel, Saint-Saëns, Jessica Meyer and others. Admission is free and guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic.
