Roger Waters joins Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival for special concert

Roger Waters, best known as the founder, bassist, lyricist and principal composer for Pink Floyd, will be the special guest performer at the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival’s “Something for Everyone” concert on Sunday, August 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church. Mr. Waters will be the narrator and take all the roles in Stravinsky’s “Soldier’s Tale.”

Other pieces on Sunday’s program include: Summa by Arvo Pärt; and the Mendelssohn Sextet. Tickets are $30; call 537-6368.

Festival musicians joining Mr. Waters for the “Something for Everyone” concert will be Stephen Williamson, clarinet; Peter Kolkay, bassoon; David Krauss, trumpet; David Finlayson, trombone; Colin Jacobsen, violin; Donald Palma, bass; and Ayano Kataoka, percussion.
