The Jewish Center of the Hamptons (JCOH) in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center (ADRC) hosts a “Social Services on the East End: Brunch & Learn” screening of the documentary film “SPARK: Robin Williams and His Battle With Lewy Body Dementia” on Sunday, May 7, at 10:30 a.m.
Created by the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) and the producers of “Robin’s Wish,” an earlier film recounting the final days of late comedic icon Robin Williams, “SPARK” is a documentary that focuses on the personal journey Williams and his wife Susan embarked on before his death. By delving deep into the disease’s biology and myriad clinical symptoms, “SPARK” aims to further expand community and professional awareness by providing raw insight into this often misunderstood and misdiagnosed disease.
The screening will take place at the Jewish Center of the Hamptons, located at 44 Woods Lane in East Hampton. Bagels and coffee will be served prior to the screening. This program is sponsored by the JCOH and ADRC and open to the public free of charge. Registration is required as space is limited. To register, please visit jcoh.org/event/screening-and-qa-of-spark/.
