Second Annual ‘March Madness: Small Works at the Library’

The Springs Historical Society presents the second annual “March Madness: Small Works at the Library” show. The exhibition features the work of 40 Springs artists and members of the SHS. With work in all mediums on the Springs Community Library walls, the show runs from March 8 to March 30 and is on view during regular library hours.

“March Madness” continues a series of small works exhibitions that began in 2024 to offer opportunities for Springs artists to show their work and to highlight the efforts of the SHS to celebrate the enduring role of the arts in Springs history. The Society presents programs on topics related to Springs, collects and preserves documents and photographs from the area and operates the Springs Community Library.

Participating artists include: Abby Abrams, Russell Asnes, Kirsten Benfield, Sharon Burns, Steven Corsano, Donna Corvi, Barbara DiLorenzo, Lizzy Engleheart, Patricia Feiwell, Pamela Collins Focarino, Nina Friscia, Elizabeth Geissler, Robin Gianis, Gerry Giliberti, Nina Gilman, Bert Glinn, Susie Gornto, Gordon Grant, Elaine Grove, Laurie Hall, John Haubrich, Bill Kiriazis, Teresa Lawler, Dennis Lawrence, Geralyne Lewandowski, Veronica Mahoney, Christa Maiwald, Barry McCallion, Beth Meredith, Veronica Mezzina, Mary Milne, Barbara Mongeau, Joanlee Montefusco, Christine Newman, Roy Nicholson, Lliana Ortega, Brian Ortmann, Dainis Saulitis, Gary Schatmeyer, Christina Schlesinger, Andrea Sher, Lee Solomon, Caren Strurmer, Aurelio Torres, Burt Van Heusen, Charles Waller, Rose Zelenetz.

Mary Beth LaPenna, president of the SHS, invites the community to a Sunday brunch opening reception on March 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
