Ma’s House & BIPOC Art Studio Inc. and the organization’s founder Jeremy Dennis invite the community to celebrate the “Shinnecock Speaks Exhibit Catalog” launch party on Sunday, January 26, from 6 to 8 p.m.

This catalog not only preserves and archives the “Shinnecock Speaks” exhibition that was on view in 2024 at Ma’s House, but also serves as a platform to encourage continued collaborations between the featured artists and art institutions across the country. The hope is that the book will open opportunities for talented Shinnecock artists and foster lasting relationships within the art world.

The evening will be enhanced by warm appetizers from Hiatus Hospitality, offering a fusion menu that blends Indigenous-American, soul food, Caribbean, European and American cuisines, along with wine donated by Channing Daughters Winery.

The exhibition catalog was printed by Terra Foundation for American Art and the Shinnecock Artists featured in it are: Charles Cause, Jeremy Dennis, Kelly Dennis, Denise Silva-Dennis, Djelle George, Sunshine Gumbs, Durrell Hunter, Sequoyah Hunter-Cuyjet, David Bunn Martine, Tracey Pace, Herbert Randall, Heather Rogers, Madeleine Rogers, Rosemary Rogers, Miles Roe, Andrina Smith, Gloria Smith, Lyle Smith, Celeste Syas, Tohanash Tarrant, Waban Tarrant, Adrienne Terry, Ed Terry, Christian Weaver, Rebekah Phoenix Wise, Gianni Willis and Gordell Wright.

Featured contributors are: Holly Haile, Brianna L. Hernandez, Lauren Brincat, Marisa de la Pena, Laura J. Allen and Cheyenne Wyzzard-Jones.

Reserve for the party at mashouse.studio/events/. Ma’s House is at 159 Old Point Road, Southampton.
