Southampton Arts And Culture Committee Bus Tour Will Visit Parrish, Dan Flavin Institute

The Southampton Arts & Culture Committee, established in 2017 by Southampton Town, will host its second SHACC on the Road Tour on Sunday, February 24.

The bus tour will leave from Southampton Town Hall in Southampton Village at 12:30 p.m. and make stops at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill and the Dan Flavin Art Institute in Bridgehampton.

The Parrish tour, led by museum director Terrie Sultan and artist Jeremy Dennis, includes “Moments of Transformation: Artists Residency with Jeremy Dennis,” the 2019 Student Exhibition and the current installation of the Parrish permanent collection, “Every Picture Tells a Story,” with also features Mr. Dennis’s work.

Then at the Dan Flavin Art Institute, a part of Dia Art Foundation, guests will view Dan Flavin’s permanent installation and artist Keith Sonnier’s installation “Dis-Play II,” with a personal tour with Carly Haffner, the caretaker.

The bus will return to Southampton Town Hall by 4:30 p.m. The tour is open to the public and free of charge, though seats are limited. RSVP to Hope Sandrow at shacc@optimum.net.
