Join hip hop legend, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, and co-founder of the pioneering rap group Public Enemy, Chuck D, in conversation with NewsNation anchor Chris Cuomo, as they reflect on hip hop’s rise from the street corner to the world stage and into one of the world’s most prominent cultural influences. Their talk takes place at Canoe Place Inn in Hampton Bays on Sunday, November 19, at 5 p.m.

The global influence of hip hop culture has shaped music styles, fashion, technology, art, entertainment, language, dance, education, politics, media and more. Hip hop continues to be a global phenomenon, developing new art forms that impact the lives of new and old generations. Chuck D is the leader and co-founder of the legendary rap group Public Enemy, as well as a social activist, multimedia producer, visual artist and digital music pioneer. As part of Public Enemy, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 and has earned a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. His “naphic grovel” trilogy STEWdio was the debut release on his Enemy Books Imprint with Akashic Books. He is also the illustrator and author of “Livin’ Loud: Artitation” (with the near DEF Experience). His latest “naphic grovel” titled “Summer of Hamn” takes on how America is held hostage by gun violence.

Tickets are $15 at canoeplace.com. Canoe Place Inn & Cottages is at 239 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays.
