After months of planning, the Riverhead Holiday Light Show, Suffolk County's largest drive-through light show, is slated to return for its third year on Thursday, November 19, at 5 p.m. at the Long Island Sports Park on Edwards Avenue in Riverhead. The show will feature dozens of larger-than-life displays, some three stories tall, and spanning more than 50 feet in length spread over the course of a mile-long driving trail.

“Last year, the light show had amazing attendance, bringing people from all over Long Island. We are happy to bring back this Long Island tradition and hope everyone is excited to see our new displays,” said Matthew Glaser, CEO of BOLD Media, the parent company operating the event in Riverhead. “In addition to providing a safe, and enjoyable, atmosphere for families this holiday season, we also look forward to many attendees shopping and dining in the small businesses in the surrounding communities to support them in this pivotal year.”

Attendees can expect to take about 20 to 25 minutes to drive through the show in its entirety. The light displays will be synchronized with holiday music broadcast over the FM radio in each patron’s vehicle. Once open, the show is scheduled to run Thursday to Sunday through December 30. A full schedule is available at RiverheadLightShow.com.

Car-load tickets are on sale now online for $23. Tickets will also be available at the gate for $25, although availability is not guaranteed.
