It might be cold outside but things are heating up at The Suffolk this February. From stand-up comedy and hard rock to a Valentine’s Day movie screening, there’s something for everyone. Tickets are available at thesuffolk.org. Suffolk Theater is at 118 East Main Street, Riverhead.

“Yellow Brick Road”: A Tribute to Elton John – Friday, February 2, at 8 p.m.

To capture the essence of the piano man, Yellow Brick Road star Gerald Brann dresses in replica costumes and wears Elton’s trademark outrageous glasses. A trained jazz pianist, Brann has been a lifelong Elton John fan, and his admiration for and love of his music comes shining through as he plays one hit after another with remarkable likeness to the pop music icon. With an unprecedented nod from the man himself, Gerald Brann was even granted permission to use Elton John’s own orchestral scores to perform with the Augusta Symphony Orchestra. In addition, Brann and Yellow Brick Road have been officially endorsed by Hercules, the International Elton John Fan Club, and have played extensively throughout the world to rave reviews.

“Funny Women of a Certain Age” – Saturday, February 3, at 7 p.m.

Showtime network’s highest rated comedy special in 2019,”Funny Women of a Certain Age” is a stand-up comedy show straight from the unfettered mouths and uninhibited minds of the funniest, most daring, most experienced people in comedy — the women who have seen it all. This performance features: Carole Montgomery (creator of the show), Julia Scotti (“America’s Got Talent,” “Today Show with Hoda and Jenna”) and Leighann Lord (HBO, Comedy Central, ABC, VH1).

Talking Dreads – Friday, February 9, at 8 p.m.

This band reimagines and infuses fresh life into Talking Heads’ classic catalog with a high-octane mix of roots reggae and ska. Fronted by the former singer for Tom Tom Club, Mystic Bowie, Talking Dreads has been spinning the heads of initially skeptical Talking Heads fans and getting everyone groovin’ along to the infectious, joyous rhythms, and jubilant spirit of his native island.

The Warped Tour Band – Saturday, February 10, at 8 p.m.

The Warped Tour Band is back with one huge throwback to all the greatest pop-punk music from the late 1990s through the new millennium. They’ll be serving up all the hits from bands like Taking Back Sunday, Blink-182, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, A Day To Remember, Brand New, All American Rejects, Simple Plan, The Used, Yellowcard and many more.

Film Screening: “Casablanca” – Friday, February 16, at 8 p.m.

Suffolk Theater presents a special screening of the timeless classic “Casablanca” for Valentine’s Day weekend. Set the mood with the iconic romance of Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, surrounded by the enchanting ambiance of love, intrigue and unforgettable moments. Couples can enjoy complementary prosecco paired with chocolate covered strawberries along with their tickets as well as an exclusive seating arrangement that features only two seats per table.

Dirty Deeds: “The AC/DC Experience” – Saturday, February 17, at 8 p.m.

Earning a reputation for their attention to detail and passion for AC/DC, Dirty Deeds recreates the exact sound of the classic rock band by capturing the unique tone that they became known for. Dirty Deeds mimics the antics and appearance of AC/DC as they revisit all the timeless hits along with a theatrical ride through rock n’ roll history and the group’s rise to stardom.

The Brit Pack – Friday, February 23, at 8 p.m.
