The Suffolk presents Don Jovi, the ultimate tribute to the music of Bon Jovi, on Friday, April 11, at 8 p.m.

Don Jovi is a New York-based band fronted by recording artist Don Chaffin (best known as the lead vocalist for Voices of Extreme, Red Lamb, Ram Jam, Riot Act, Road Crew and American Mafia). His extensive recording and touring experience, united together with industry veteran band members Sean Tarr, Chris Tristram, Nick Troiani and Matt Ricci, brings the magic of Bon Jovi’s music alive with complete authenticity.

Lead guitarist Sean Tarr has been a professional musician for over three decades, gaining recognition with his New York City-based band TNA in the late 1980s and early 1990s. After a TNA reunion, the band signed with Kivel Records and released two albums, “Finger on the Trigger” (2001) and “Branded” (2004). He later formed the acoustic pop/rock duo McDowell-Tarr, released music under RMG/EMI-Germany, and played in punk rock outfit Johnny Black. Sean also worked as a session guitarist for US-UK Music Productions, collaborating with former The Cult drummer Lez Warner.

Chris Tristram is a veteran bassist who has played with major rock acts like Jack Russell’s Great White, House of Lords, and Slash. He signed with Capitol Records and released music worldwide with his band Parlour/Marjorie Fair. Chris has performed alongside rock legends such as Warrant, Lita Ford, Skid Row, and Tesla. His studio credits include work with industry greats like Billy Preston, Nile Rodgers and Eddie Kramer, and his bass playing has been featured in TV commercials, movie soundtracks, and numerous bands.

Keyboardist Nick Troiani has been in countless bands since a teenager. He is the co-founder of the popular tribute band BonJourney performing on shows all over the country. Troiani has scored music for two original musicals “The Day the Music Died” and “Destiny’s Wheel.” He also works as a booking agent for many New York bands and is a music teacher on the north shore of Long Island.

Drummer Matt Ricci developed a passion for the instrument at age 15, studying under the talented Frank Bellucci to refine his timing, groove and feel. He co-founded BonJourneyNY.com and has impressed industry veterans like Deen Castronovo while also playing for the Guns N’ Roses tribute band, Appetite for Destruction. Over the years, he has performed alongside musical icons such as Rod Morgenstein, Billy Sheehan and Chris Caffery.

Tickets are $29 to $49 at thesuffolk.org. The Suffolk is at 118 East Main Street in Riverhead.
