On Saturday, July 29, The Watermill Center offers “the BODY,” its annual summer benefit and a celebration of art that will center on the body’s role in art making.

The event will introduce “UBU” directed by Robert Wilson — originally presented at the Es Baluard Museum in Palma de Mallorca, Spain — and 19 artist installations and exhibitions including Regina José Galindo’s “The Body,” Alessandro di Pietro’s “Ghostwriting Paul Thek: Time Capsules and Reliquaries,” with a performance by Ola Maciejewska.

This year, The Watermill Center will be honoring American artist Simone Forti and the late philanthropist, Baroness Nina von Maltzahn. The evening welcomes 500-plus distinguished guests from the worlds of art, performance, theater, fashion, film and more and is an international celebration of art in support of the organization’s year-round programming.

“the BODY” begins with performances, installations, and exhibitions with cocktails and floating dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. followed from 8:30 to 10 p.m. by a seated performance of Robert Wilson’s “UBU.”

Curated by Robert Wilson and Noah Khoshbin, “the BODY” will take a broad approach engendered by diverse cultures and mediums, including time-based performance, painting, sculpture and video. Artists featured at the event include: Thomas Anderson (United States), Yunseo Choi (Republic of Korea, Germany), Afra Al Dhaheri (United Arab Emirates), Evelyn Dugan (United States), Cecilia Xuetong Feng (China, Germany), Regina José Galindo (Guatemala), Ola Maciejewska (Poland, France), Casilda Madrazo (Mexico), Katimari Niskala (Finland), Alessandro Di Pietro (Italy), Sorin Prodea (Romania, Germany), Johan Rasumussen Sterner (Norway, Denmark), Ismael Reyes Romero (Chile), Anthony Roques (France), Dovydas Strimaitis (Lithuania, France), Lyuba Todorova (Bulgaria), Robert Wilson (United States), and Agathe Vidal (France),

Tickets start at $1,500 at watermillcenter.org. The Watermill Center is at 39 Watermill Towd Road, Water Mill.
