Romany Kramoris Gallery will present the works of Michael Albert and Roger Sichel, from June 15 through July 6. A reception for the artists will be held on Saturday, June 17, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Michael Albert has been creating art since his 1980s college days at New York University, where he studied business. During that time, he became interested in art after visiting many of the great museums of New York City and seeing many great masterpieces, and soon after began making art in his own personal quest to create a masterpiece worthy of hanging at a major museum. His art has evolved from doodles and pen and ink, to serious wax oil drawings, to the cubist mosaic cereal box collages (Cerealism) he has become known for.

In the past two decades he has been creating large-scale “Epic” collage works using the cardboard packaging of iconic consumer brands on various themes. He is the founder/owner of Sir Real, a brand of fruit juice and natural foods found at specialty markets in the New York metro area including at Schiavoni’s Market right across the street from the gallery.

Photographer, artist and festival producer Roger Sichel’s prolific creative experience spans generations and genres. From creating one of New York’s first erotic film festivals with judges Andy Warhol, Gore Vidal and Milos Forman to producing rock concerts with The Doors, Four Seasons and Isaac Hayes nationwide, Sichel identifies most as a cultural observer and photographic journalist.

Sichel has now entered the next phase of his artistic career and is choosing to explore neo-pop mixed media, inspired by his own life, as well as current events, while simultaneously preserving the legacy of his work in photojournalism.

Romany Kramoris Gallery is at 41 Main Street in Sag Harbor. For details, visit 631-725-2499 or visit kramorisgallery.com.
