During the month of June, the artwork of U.S. Open and PGA golf artist Elaine Faith Thompson will be on view in a solo exhibition on the lower level of Rogers Memorial Library in Southampton. In addition to her golf paintings, Thompson will show works of local scenes and some surprise paintings that have never been seen by the public.

Thompson started her professional art career in 1957 at the age of 14. She paints in Bohemia, Shelter Island and Naples, Florida. A “meet the artist” reception will be held at Rogers Memorial Library, 91 Coopers Farm Road, Southampton, on Saturday, June 26, from 2 to 4:30 p.m.
