The Neo-Political Cowgirls is bringing its Illuminated show “ZIMA!” back to LongHouse Reserve in East Hampton for six weeks of Friday and Saturday performances. The show is a festive delight in which the audience solves a riddle while embracing the winter season in its natural beauty, mystery and connection to the human soul hibernation.

In order to keep this show smooth for the audience on the journey along the paths, the Neo-Political Cowgirls needs a strong contingency of volunteers — six per night — to help the audience move in the right direction, explaining the riddle, welcoming them and keeping an eye on a couple of the vignettes.

Performances kick off November 29 and 30 and run through January 10 and 11 (skipping over the Christmas weekend). Call time will be 4 p.m. and volunteers will be released between 7 and 7:30 p.m. at the latest. Some nights it may be a slightly earlier release depending on the audience numbers. The Neo-Political Cowgirls ask that volunteers be able to commit for the entire time — but will always release volunteers at the earliest point they can.

Reliable and mature high schoolers are most welcome and will receive community service hours for their donation of time. A steady stream of hot cocoa, sweets and a chair to rest are available to volunteers while they help bring a seasonal delight to people of all ages.

To volunteer, email Kate Mueth at gladmueth@gmail.com to sign up or with any questions.
