The Clubhouse Hamptons will present Grammy Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, guitar legend, producer and Gov’t Mule front man Warren Haynes, who stops in East Hampton on Friday, August 25, for a solo show. Doors open 7 p.m., the show begins at 8 p.m.

This special show, which will explore all aspects of Haynes’s incredible catalog, falls in between Gov’t Mule’s in-progress “Dark Side of the Mule” summer tour and its upcoming North American “Peace… Like a River” fall tour.

Warren Haynes is a cornerstone of the American music landscape, lauded as one of the most formidable guitarists and vocalists of the modern era and a prolific songwriter and producer. He effortlessly cross-pollinates genres and unfurls solos that broil with passion in his distinctive, signature style. Throughout his prolific career as part of three of the greatest live groups in rock history — Allman Brothers Band, Gov’t Mule and the Dead — and an acclaimed solo artist, he has become one of music’s most treasured storytellers and his artistry has led to thousands of memorable performances and millions of album and track sales. As the front man of Gov’t Mule, Haynes along with his bandmates drummer Matt Abts, keyboardist Danny Louis, and bassist Kevin Scott, create consistently honest, organic and daring music, leading them to be recognized as one of the most timeless, revered and active bands in the world whose spot amongst rock titans remains unshakable.

Gov’t Mule released its 12th studio album, “Peace… Like a River” (Fantasy Records), in June, marking the follow-up to the band’s chart-topping, Grammy-nominated blues album, “Heavy Load Blues.” The new 12-song rock collection includes the stirring lead single “Dreaming Out Loud” featuring Ivan Neville and Ruthie Foster, the soaring and heartfelt “Same as It Ever Was” and the epic, Beatles-inspired new single “Made My Peace.”

“Peace … Like a River” also features guest appearances from Billy F. Gibbons, Billy Bob Thornton, and rising soul artist Celisse. The album was recorded during the same sessions as “Heavy Load Blues” at The Power Station New England with co-producer John alongside Haynes. The albums, however, were created in different rooms, with no shared gear or instruments, keeping the two concurrent projects with their own unique identity and character. The tracks on “Peace … Like a River” explore the many sides of Gov’t Mule and bring together all the qualities that have earned the four-piece the beloved stature they enjoy today.
