The Suffolk Theater in Riverhead will present Watkins Glen Summer Jam Revisited featuring Long Island-based musicians The Allmost Brothers, The Electrix, and Jimmy Shaka on Saturday, November 26 at 8 p.m.

The Summer Jam at Watkins Glen in 1973 was designated as having “the largest audience at a pop festival” by the Guinness Book of World Records. With an estimated 600,000 people in the audience, historians have claimed that it was the largest gathering of people in the country’s history. This monumental concert event featured The Allman Brothers Band, Grateful Dead and The Band.

In celebration of this historic festival, The Suffolk is welcoming some of Long Island’s most beloved bands that have been playing this legendary music for years. The Allmost Brothers, performing The Allman Brothers Band, comprises New York’s finest musicians bringing their explosive sound to paying tribute to one of the greatest live bands in history. The Electrix, performing Grateful Dead, is known as one of the leading jam bands in New York with the way they weave in and out of intense jams with an incredible amount of enthusiasm and feeling. Last but not least, Jimmy Shaka, performing an acoustic set of music from The Band, is an incredible singer-songwriter on Long Island who faithfully honors this classic music.

Tickets range from $39 to $49 at suffolktheater.com. Suffolk Theater is at 118 East Main Street, Riverhead.
