authorStaff Writer on Jan 17, 2025

Travel to Spain with Women’s Art Center of the Hamptons (WACH) from May 5 to 14, 2025, for an unforgettable cultural journey to explore the history, culture and cuisine. This nine-day journey will offer unique experiences, from exclusive access to private artist studios and historic palaces to immersive tours of Spain’s iconic museums and vibrant cultural landmarks.

The tour will delve into the depths of Spain’s rich heritage as participants visit iconic cities like Madrid, Córdoba and Granada. The curated itinerary will include guided tours that highlight the country’s celebrated textiles, winemaking, glassmaking and ceramics, and it will go behind the scenes for private visits with artists and artisans at their studios and workshops, not to mention museums, gardens and a medieval monastery.

The trip will be co-led by Wendy Van Deusen, curator, artist, chef and director of WACH. With extensive experience touring the art capitals of Europe and beyond, Van Drusen’s deep appreciation for art, design and cuisine will enrich the experience. She has previously led cultural tours across the continent, and her passion for uncovering hidden gems will provide behind-the-scenes access to some of Spain’s most remarkable artistic and cultural sites.

The second tour leader, Matko Tomicic, will bring Spain’s history and culture to life in unexpected ways. With a vast knowledge of European art and culture, Tomicic’s engaging storytelling and enthusiasm for exploration will reveal Spain’s well-known treasures and hidden corners alike, creating an unforgettable experience.

Space for the trip is limited. Learn more by visiting wachamptonsny.org or email info@wachamptonsny.org for additional information and the tour itinerary.
