Yung Jake Launches NFT Artworks

authorStaff Writer on Jul 27, 2021

On Sunday, July 25, artist Yung Jake launched 10 NFT artworks that are available for auction for one week on Basic.Space, with rolling end times from August 1 to 5. This follows the platform's recent launches of Naomi Osaka and Baby Birkin NFT auctions, collectively, raising more than $600,000 dollars. Jake's NFTs will be sold and displayed through a metaverse experience he created, powered by CashApp.

The NFTs titled, “Automated Twists,” numbered 1 to 12, are video sculptures inspired by his current “Twisted Metal X” solo show at Tripoli Gallery in Wainscott. In the 10th iteration of his “Twisted Metal” series, Jake has created a series of paintings and sculptures made entirely from heat treated and warped NERF guns. The intersection of these guns come to life in his NFT sculptures on view and for auction on Basic.Space.
