Bundle up the family and make your way to “Zima!” at LongHouse Reserve on Fridays and Saturdays across a string of six weeks. Immerse yourself in magic and joy as you wander the pathways of LongHouse’s 16 acres of art and nature. This annual theatrical adventure presented by the Neo-Political Cowgirls Dance Theater Collective is directed and produced by Kate Mueth. “Zima!” (Polish for “winter”) is an immersive journey through the beautifully illuminated pathways of LongHouse where visitors of all ages will encounter vignette performances of dance, theater, and folklore from diverse cultures designed to delight, inspire and fill all with wonder. Each discovery along the path reveals a new winter tale brought to life with poetry, music and movement. For the most adventurous, a riddle to be solved accompanies the quest. End your journey in the Pavilion at a festive Holiday Artisan Market where warm drinks and sweets await. Featuring handmade gifts, culinary delights and creative activities for all ages by The Shine Studio, shop the market for work by local artists and makers while enjoying live holiday music in the serene winter garden.

“Zima!” is offered on November 29 and 30, December 6 and 7, December 13 and 14, December 20 and 21, January 3 and 4, and January 10 and 11. The walk lasts approximately 30 minutes and includes a visit at nine different vignettes. All are wheelchair accessible. Start times are 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. (last entry). All ages welcome. No dogs allowed, but when you return home, you can regale them with wonderful stories from the magical land of “Zima!”

LongHouse Reserve is at 133 Hands Creek Road in East Hampton. Visit longhouse.org for tickets and information.
