The Express News Group has been a blessing to us at the East Hampton Food Pantry as 2024 came to an end and 2025 dawned.
Many thanks to Georgie and Gavin Menu for signing on as sponsors of our annual Polar Bear Plunge. Not to brag, but it was — as ever — a glorious New Year’s Day on Main Beach, with hundreds of people coming out to brave the waves or cheer on friends who did.
We’re lucky to enjoy the support of East Hampton Village Mayor Jerry Larsen, his board and police, sponsors like you, and our generous food and beverage donors. Of course, the event — in its 21st year this week — wouldn’t be possible without hosts East Hampton Ocean Rescue and the YMCA Hurricane swim team.
And while we’re awash with gratitude for the constant generosity of spirit our community shows each year, we’d like to thank and praise The Express News Group for holding its annual Holiday Express fund drive to benefit East End food pantries. We’re thrilled to be included alongside five other local pantries in that effort.
As our numbers continue to surge, we’re all working hard to keep our shelves stocked. That work is a little easier, thanks to local supporters like you guys!
So many thanks.
