Adrian Japa Japa, 35, of East Hampton was arrested on New Year’s Day after going off the road while driving a 2014 Ford Explorer on Springy Banks Road in Northwest Harbor, striking both a telephone pole and a tree, police said. The first officer on the scene found Japa Japa still behind the wheel of the vehicle and reported that he appeared intoxicated. Japa Japa was asked to do roadside sobriety tests, which police say he failed. Roger Antonio Ocampo Cubillos, 31, of East Hampton was arrested by East Hampton Village Police early in the morning on Saturday on a misdemeanor charge of DWI. An officer pulled over the 2008 GMC Ocampo Cubillos was driving on Main Street at about 2:15 a.m. when he made a turn without properly signaling, police said. Ocampo Cubillos appeared intoxicated, the arresting officer wrote in his report, and failed sobriety tests, leading to his arrest. Daniel Esteban Jadan Penaloza, 31, of East Hampton was arrested by East Hampton Town Police on misdemeanor DWI charges early Tuesday morning. Police said Jadan Penaloza was pulled over behind the wheel of a 2022 Toyota crossover utility vehicle on Three Mile Harbor Road on the northbound shoulder, keys in the ignition and engine running. The arresting officer conducted a “well-being check” and, after speaking with Jadan Penaloza, believed him possibly intoxicated. Noe Campos, 40, of Springs was arrested by East Hampton Town Police on misdemeanor DWI charges around midnight on Saturday. Police said Campos was driving a 2018 Jeep south on Springs Fireplace Road, moving at 58 mph where the speed limit is 40, leading to the traffic stop. The arresting officer reported that Campos appeared intoxicated and failed sobriety tests, leading to his arrest. He was taken to police headquarters in Wainscott, where a breath test produced to a reading of .11, police said, in excess of the .08 mark that defines intoxication in the State of New York.
