Simon Bolivar Cruceta, 40, of East Hampton was charged with felony DWI a little after noon on February 3 by East Hampton Village Police. Police said Cruceta was driving a 2005 Nissan Ultima on Railroad Avenue when he was stopped by an officer for several multiple equipment violations, according to the report, including having an inadequate muffler and nontransparent front side windows, rear side windows and rear window. Cristian Javier Otero Rivera, 41, of Water Mill was charged with felony DWI the night of January 29, East Hampton Village Police said. Otero Rivera was driving a 2003 Buick sedan on Main Street near Mill Hill Lane when he swerved across the double yellow line into the oncoming lane of traffic, “causing a great danger for anyone traveling on the roadway,” the criminal complaint reads. Manuel Fernando Chuya, 52, of East Hampton was charged with misdemeanor DWI by East Hampton Village Police after a traffic stop on Montauk Highway in the village a little after midnight on Sunday. Police said Fernando Chuya was driving a 2010 GMC Sierra at the time and was swerving badly across lane lines. Luis Adrian Calvache Rodriguez, 35, of Shirley was charged with misdemeanor aggravated DWI on Sunday evening by East Hampton Village Police. Calvache Rodriguez was behind the wheel of a 2024 Hyundai Tucson traveling west after sunset on Montauk Highway near Cove Hollow Road without turning on his headlights or taillights and was, at the same time, tailgating the vehicle in front of him, leading to the traffic stop and arrest, according to police.
