McGinniss, 36, of East Hampton, was charged by East Hampton Town Police with misdemeanor DWI the evening of October 9 after crashing into a telephone pole on Route 114 near Montauk Boulevard, according to police. McGinniss was driving a 2021 Chevrolet pickup truck when he lost control of his vehicle, crashing into the pole.
