Daniel Esteban Jadan Penaloza, 31, of East Hampton was arrested by East Hampton Town Police on misdemeanor DWI charges early Tuesday morning. Police said Jadan Penaloza was pulled over behind the wheel of a 2022 Toyota crossover utility vehicle on Three Mile Harbor Road on the northbound shoulder, keys in the ignition and engine running. The arresting officer conducted a “well-being check” and, after speaking with Jadan Penaloza, believed him possibly intoxicated. Noe Campos, 40, of Springs was arrested by East Hampton Town Police on misdemeanor DWI charges around midnight on Saturday. Police said Campos was driving a 2018 Jeep south on Springs Fireplace Road, moving at 58 mph where the speed limit is 40, leading to the traffic stop. The arresting officer reported that Campos appeared intoxicated and failed sobriety tests, leading to his arrest. Richard Scott Pims, 52, who resides in both Springs and Boca Raton, was charged by East Hampton Town Police with felony DWI after an accident on Three Mile Harbor Hog Creek Road in Springs on Saturday a little before midnight. Police said that Pims was driving a 2023 Nissan with Tennessee plates when he lost control and went off the road, crashing into a mailbox, several shrubs, and some pilings. The first officer on the scene reported finding Pims behind the wheel, engine running. The Nissan had suffered “substantial front end damage,” and Pims appeared intoxicated, police reported. Jose B. Escandon Escandon, 46, of Springs was arrested on a misdemeanor DWI charge by East Hampton Town Police on Saturday evening. He was arrested after losing control of the 2021 Honda pickup truck he was driving, crossing into the oncoming lane of traffic and striking another vehicle on Abrahams Path, police said.
