A State Park naturalist will guide visitors through the woods to listen for owls and other night life. The Sag Harbor Historical Museum was awarded a $10,000 grant to restore headstones in Sag Harbor’s Old Burying Ground on Union Street. The grant was from the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation, which supports projects that highlight New York history. The group of headstones to be repaired were severely damaged in the Hurricane of 1938 and have remained broken in multiple pieces and partially buried in the ground since that time. LTV Studios will host a Community Cookie Exchange on Saturday, December 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. Guests may enjoy cookies, music, crafts, and raffles. Proceeds will go toward paying for LTV’s new roof and to the South Fork Performing Arts Education Fund. Nonperishable food items will also be collected for LTV’s Little Free Food Pantry in exchange for cookies to take home for the holidays. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at ltveh.org.

Bridgehampton Students Explore Careers at NYIT Long Island Campus Bridgehampton students recently visited the New York Institute of Technology – Long Island Campus in Old Westbury. They participated in a tour, met with the admissions team and explored a variety of academic programs related to their coursework at Bridgehampton School. The visit highlighted degree offerings in engineering, robotics, digital art, game design and artificial intelligence. Students learned how these programs align with their current studies, offering potential pathways to expand their academic and professional opportunities. The East End Classic Boat Society’s raffle boat has been won by an East Setauket woman who wanted to help the group’s efforts teaching school children about boat building. The boat society each year gives classes in boat model building and nomenclature to 200 third- and fourth-graders at Montauk, Springs, Sag Harbor and Amagansett schools. “We love the cause,” said winner Diana Dow.
