A public hearing on East Hampton Town’s fiscal year 2025 budget drew no comment last Thursday, November 7, and later in the meeting, the Town Board voted to override the 2 percent tax levy cap. The board is expected to vote to authorize the $103,925,137 budget on November 19, one day ahead of the state-imposed deadline. In its tentative form, the budget had a proposed spending total of $103,722,303. After three work session presentations in October, the agreed-upon preliminary budget adds an additional $202,834.
